CARACAS (AFP) - 2 Sep. 2016- Opponents of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said around a million people joined in a rally Thursday demanding a referendum on removing him from office.

Iran’s Interference Threatens Astana Conference

Well-informed Turkish sources told Asharq al-Awsat newspaper that the Iranian leadership was imposing vetoes on its possible representatives to the conference.
